Kalamazoo,
MI- With the 2015 USA Curling Nationals less
than two months away we are starting to find out who will be packing their
stones and brooms and heading to Wings Stadium Events Center to compete in
Kalamazoo from February 14th-21st.
The United States Curling Association (USCA) has
announced the first eight teams to qualify for the 2015 championships. Per the
USCA Championship Rules two men’s teams and two women’s teams will advance to
the USCA National Championships in Kalamazoo based on the World Curling Tour “Year-To-Date”
Order of Merit points as of the conclusion of the Curl Mesabi Cash Spiel on
December 21st.
Also for the second consecutive year, the USCA followed
a season long World Team Selection Process that used YTD OOM points from the
World Curling Tour along with OOM points from the Nationals
Qualifying event and from the US nationals itself to
determine our representative at the Men’s and Women’s World Championship.
The top two teams on the men’s standings who earned
the most YTD OOM points were Health McCormick and John Shuster. Earning the
most points for the women were Aileen Sormunen and Nina Roth.
The Program Selections for Nationals on the men’s
side were Craig Brown and Korey Kropkin. The women’s Program Selections are
Cory Christensen and Patti Lank.

the nation’s top curling event. Previous the complex hosted the curling
